Why "www.writingforums.org" is full of Nazis

HOLY SHIT, BATMAN!!!

I do not recommend this site for anyone who is *seriously* trying to become a published author. The site is extremely limiting in terms of things you can express on it (example: I posted something in the LOUNGE with an external link and it was completely deleted because they don't believe in incorporating off-sight content into their site, unless the author can write a summary of it so that people aren't forced to leave the site to be included in the thread).

  • Swearing is a "no-no" (using the terminology of one of the mods)
  • Scandalous conversation is also a no-no
  • Any kind of interesting, thought-provoking topic of conversation is a (you guessed it) no-no (Although, that being said you could probably write an 'artistic' piece on the rape of a woman and they would eat it up, so long as she didn't say "get the *no-no* off of me!!!!" at any point in the story.)
Also, the mods seem to be more numerous than the posters and even LESS creative. Amazing; you'd think a group of writers would be all for promoting new and interesting thoughts instead of being bogged down by idiotic rules and regs (that I am sure only serve to make the mods feel like they are the Big Wolves on Campus).

I won't be going back to the blitzkrieg, that's for sure. Can anyone recommend any BETTER forums? I tried looking, but www.writingforums.org was all I found! WTF?
